The Early Start Program is designed for children from infancy through 3 years.

The course is based on the Suzuki Early Childhood Education program and is a well-paced series of traditional songs and rhymes, which are used as stimuli for movement, singing, and percussion playing.

The Early Start Program is designed to foster a love of music and learning for young toddlers 0-3 years of age. It builds on the child’s natural delight in learning and lays the foundation for life-long learning that meets Dr. Suzuki’s goals for all children...... “to create an environment for children free from pressure in which they can gain skills, a sense of purpose in life, an understanding of discipline, confidence, and an appreciation of beauty.” The Suzuki philosophy is...“talent can be taught and every child can learn.”

Through listening, singing, activities, modeling, repetition, and parental involvement, the Early Start Program helps promote key areas of development in early childhood:

  1. gross motor skills, eg. crawling, jumping, running
  2. Speech and language
  3. Social and emotional skills, such as playing with, and learning from other children
  4. And most important in music, it helps with the development of the child’s musical ear and prepares the child for future ‘private’ instruction.

The Early Start Class will begin in January 2023.
